On the basis of its long-time experience in manufacturing of pressure vessels, CHEMET has implemented into the production the first series of transportable cryogenic tanks for atmospheric gases.

The so-called ISO-containers 20′, 30′ and 40′ are designed for intermodal transport of atmospheric gases: oxygen (LOX), argon (LAR), nitrogen (LIN), carbon dioxide (LCO2) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Application

Cryogenic tank containers (ISO-containers) are widely used for the transportation of atmospheric gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon) and LNG in the intermodal transport – by sea, road and rail. They can also serve as stationary storage tanks where, for various reasons, building e.g. an LNG stationary satellite station is not profitable.

Design

The ISO-container was constructed in accordance with Directive TPED 2010/35/EC and the standard EN 13530.

Fittings

Standard cryogenic tanks are equipped with a complete system of safety valves and plates, ensuring a minimum level of gas loss and safe and efficient gas loading and unloading.

Cryogenic tank containers (for LNG transport) production has been modified due to the possibility of using flanges for pressure tanks of a modern machining center (read here), which can increase the accuracy of workmanship up to 0.001 mm.
