Since the 1990s, CHEMET been developing, in cooperation with national and foreign railway logistics companies, production of tanks for railway tank cars for carriage of dangerous goods.

Based on many years of experience and highly qualified staff, in 2012 CHEMET designed, manufactured and obtained a traffic permit for a railway tank car with a capacity of V=112m3 for carriage of liquefied gases LPG.

Our railway tank cars

We offer to our customers railway tank cars for carriage of hazardous gases such as propane, butane and mixtures thereof, as well as ammonia, but we can also offer railway tank cars for carriage of chemicals such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and nitrobenzene.
Our cars are designed and certified in accordance with the provisions of Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI) and Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID).

Keeping in mind the safe carriage of dangerous goods, our cars have the option of being equipped with the following components:

  • underride guard system (according to TE25 under RID),
  • GPS,
  • odometer,
  • derailment detector,
  • quick connectors (TODO, WECO).
Tanks for Railway tank cars

In addition to complete railway tank cars, we offer to railway logistics companies the option to order only tanks for carriage of hazardous and toxic chemicals.

The tanks can be made of carbon steel and acid resistant steel, depending on the transported medium.
