CHEMET is the only producer in Poland and one of the largest in Europe, the producer of portable pressure tanks for liquefied gases with a capacity of up to 1000 liters. These tanks are used in the transport of gases and liquids under pressure max. 450 bars.

Portable tanks are made on the basis of CHEMET’s own documentation, which can be adapted to individual customer needs.

The following materials are used for the production of portable tanks:

  • P355NL1 and P460NL1 carbon steels according to EN 10028-3,
  • Acid-resistant steels e.g. 1.4541, 1.4571, 1.4406.

Some of the tanks manufactured in accordance with ASME regulations are made of steel according to this standard.

Due to the very high degree of danger to the environment and the natural environment, these tanks, in addition to the provisions of the Polish Office of Technical Inspection, meet the requirements of the European Convention on the Transport of Hazardous Materials – ADR.

All portable liquefied gas tanks offered by CHEMET, in accordance with the European standard EN14208, are marked with the sign Π, and the tanks intended for the transport of gases causing hydrogen corrosion, additionally with the letter H. In this way, the tanks manufactured by the company meet all current requirements of European standards and can be used throughout the European Union.

Starting from November 1, 2005, further types of portable tanks obtain the German BAM (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und prüfung) approval for compliance with the provisions of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG). Certification for compliance with the abovementioned Code on the principles of transporting hazardous materials enables the use of our tanks also in sea transport.
